Earn Your Master's in Educational Leadership

The Master of Arts in Education in educational leadership is designed for teachers who are seeking the principal's license. It is equally relevant for teachers who aspire to work within a school system on curriculum design, development and reform. The Master's in Educational Leadership program curriculum is based upon principal standards established by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE), National Educational Leadership Preparation (NELP) and Council for Accreditation of Educational Leadership Programs (CAEP).

  • Explore leadership theories and practices that promote the success of all students in today's diverse school environments.
  • Learn the essential elements to develop a school vision, establish a culture of high standards of learning and implement and evaluate continuous improvement plans.
  • Apply best practices through effective instructional programs and comprehensive professional development plans at the building and district levels.
  • Examine curriculum design, development and reform as influenced and impacted by federal and state standards.
  • Understand the components of a professional code of ethics as they pertain to the legal rights and responsibilities of students, parents, faculty, staff, administration and community members.
